Get involved

There’s much more to university than studying. It’s a great opportunity to broaden your horizons by meeting new people and discovering new interests.

Sport and physical activity

You’ll find some of the best sports facilities in the UK right here on campus. Whether you are a beginner or a hardcore competitor, there’s a massive range of sports and fitness options on campus and you can also take part in the award-winning Active Students programme.

Go Herts Award

Want to stand out from the crowd as an educated, well-rounded, enterprising global citizen, well prepared for life after University?

The Go Herts Award is an exciting initiative which recognises your engagement in a range of extra-curricular activities outside of the assessed part of your degree. The Go Herts Award is open to all students and is awarded to you when you graduate, at the end of your programme of study.

Discover Herts SU

When you enrol at the University of Hertfordshire you don’t just join the uni, you also become a member of Herts SU. The SU is here to support you on your student journey and make sure it’s the best it can be. Your free membership with the SU gives you access to all of its services. This means you can benefit from academic representation, advice & support, events, opportunities and a world class entertainments venue.

Whatever you’re studying, wherever you are, your SU has something for you.
