What support will be available for my child?
The Office of the Dean of Students is responsible for the Student Support and Welfare teams, Student Wellbeing, the Chaplaincy, University day nursery, the medical centre and student complaints and appeals. The Dean of Students team are here to help and support your child throughout their time at Herts.
Students can contact our Wellbeing services, which are currently available 24/7 by contacting Security on +44 (0)1707 281010. Our team will then arrange a secure connection for a video call to provide assistance and reassurance. Students can also access a one-off same-day appointment by emailing deanofstudents@herts.ac.uk.
How does my child get access to the student hardship fund?
Our University Financial Assistance Fund (UFAF) is a non-repayable financial award for Home students experience financial difficulties and our Overseas Emergency Financial Aid (OEFA) is for international students who experience financial difficulties. All students can contact the Student Funding and Financial Support team for support.
