What parking is available?
Residential parking on College Lane Campus is available but is extremely limited. Strict criteria applies and it costs £171.60 for the year. Find out if you are eligible and apply for a parking permit.
Please note, there is no residential parking at our de Havilland Campus.
Commuting students and visitors can either use the Park and Ride multi-storey car park or car park E, where they can pay to park. Students can also pay to park in car park I if a student e-permit has been issued.
The Park and Ride (AL10 8HS) is available for all students, staff and visitors to use in term-time, and is £1 for the day per vehicle to use the shuttle bus that goes to both College Lane and de Havilland campuses. The multi-story car park next to the Forum is available for use using RingGo and the parking payment terminals and is free for the first 30 minutes, £3 up to six hours (08.00 – 17.30) and £5 up to 10 hours (08.00 – 17.30). E-permits are available for qualifying students and staff, these are £3 for the day.

Is there a bus service available?
We operate our own inter-campus bus service, Uno Bus, which is free to use as long as you have a valid student ID card. Find out more about the full Uno Bus timetable.

How do I sign up to the doctor on campus?
There is a Medical Centre on College Lane Campus that is solely for students and staff. You can register there as soon as you know the address of your accommodation on campus, or in surrounding Hatfield.

Where do I go for textbooks, computers etc?
Our Learning Resources Centres (LRCs) are where you can find your course textbooks, computers and study spaces.
We have two LRCs, one on each campus, which are open 24/7 to help you succeed in your studies. In addition to a range of study spaces and an extensive print book collection, you’ll find PCs, laptops, printers, and specialist software as well as dedicated study skills support for 1-1 help when you need it.

What childcare support is there available?
The University Day Nursery offers on-campus childcare facilities for students and employees, as well as external applicants. We accept children from three months to five years offering them a fun, safe, and stimulating learning environment with sessions and activities catered to meet the needs of each child.
Your child will be looked after by our qualified and enthusiastic staff who make your child's safety their priority. Each staff member undergoes first aid and child protection training every three years and an enhanced DBS check.

Where can I pray on campus?
We have spaces on both our campuses - The Key, College Lane, and the Multi Faith Space on de Havilland are open from 09.00 to 18.00, Monday to Friday, for individual prayer, reflection or meditation. Please visit our chaplaincy page for more information.

Yes, we have a number of options including vegan, vegetarian, and Halal options.
