Why study American Studies?

Study in North America

As an American Studies student, you have the chance to spend the second semester of your second year studying at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, before returning to complete your degree in three years.

Alternatively, between your Second and Final Years you can choose to study abroad for a whole year in either the USA or Canada.

This will vividly bring your studies to life, enhancing your understanding of the diversity, energy and complexity of modern North America.

See Why Study America for more information.

What our
students say

The interdisciplinary approach made me consider a wider range of ideas within my historical studies. It is a broad and fulfilling pathway.
