Which type of course should I choose?

The consortium offers a range of Foundation Degree and Extended Degree programmes.

Foundation Degrees

This two-year course provides a stand-alone qualification with the opportunity to progress on to either the second or final year of a BA/BSc Honours top-up course at the University of Hertfordshire if you want to. Progression is dependent on your results. Find out more about Foundation Degrees.

Extended Degrees

An Extended Degree is an initial year of study for applicants who do not have sufficient UCAS points to enter an Honours degree directly. You will study at a college for your initial year to gain all of the necessary subject knowledge to bring you up to the required standard to progress on to the first year of a Science, Engineering or selected Joint Honours degrees. See what you can learn on an Extended Degree course.

What facilities will I have access to?

Each of the colleges in the consortium has invested a great deal in providing state-of-the-art learning facilities for their students.

University of Hertfordshire facilities are also available to all consortium students, including use of The Forum, the Sports Village, the Learning Resources Centres and StudyNet, the University's online learning environment.

All of our courses have been designed in conjunction with local employers. This ensures that you are learning the skills you need to have to be a successful employee once you have completed your studies.
