Resources to help you studyThe University academic year is divided into 3 semesters:

  • Semester A runs from September to January
  • Semester B runs from February to May
  • Semester C runs from June to September

The majority of modules and short courses are delivered in Semester A and Semester B although some teaching does continue throughout the year.

Access to StudyNet

Once you register on your programme, module or accredited short course you gain access to StudyNet, the University's managed learning environment.

On your course site you will find a range of resources to help you with your studies. These include:

  • module information and teaching resources including slides for lectures
  • electronic resources such as narrated Powerpoint slides, video clips and podcasts

Module sites may use module news, blogs, provide reading lists and discussion forums for any queries and to share information.

StudyNet allows you to submit your assignments and receive your marks online.

We will explain how to use StudyNet at the start of each module or course. There are also a number of resources to show you how to get the most from StudyNet.

Interactive postgraduate induction

Interactive postgraduate induction is a restricted access area that includes important information about the structure of your course and other key information to help you with your studies.

This area is for those who have already applied to one of our Health postgraduate and/or CPD courses. Login details will be sent by email to applicants only.
