UH NOTE (Network of Teacher Educators)

The School of Education would like to develop a new network of Teacher Educators to enhance collaborative partnership working.

We extend a welcome to:

  • Professional Mentors
  • Teacher Mentors
  • Visiting Tutors
  • Lead School Coordinators
  • ITE lecturers
  • Researchers with interest in ITE

Anyone with an interest in enhancing the quality of teacher education

Each term we will have a meeting with a different theme, to support our professional development, as well as to enhance our working in partnership. This will not be programme-specific or directly related to the procedural aspects of the programmes, but to look at broader aspects of our roles as teacher educators. Some of the themes we hope to consider are:

  • assessment of student-teachers
  • developing the professionalism of student-teachers
  • mentor development, recognition and standards
  • enhancing learning opportunities for student-teachers during
  • school-based training
  • the implications of the enhanced NQT

These sessions will run from 16.00-17.30 on our de Havilland Campus, and we will notify you of the room number nearer the time. If you'd like to attend, please contact Sonia Menezes.
