You should have or will shortly receive an email with your University username.
Follow the instructions in this email to set-up your University account.
You should have or will shortly receive an email inviting you to complete your online (stage 1) registration. Follow the instructions in this email to complete this part of your registration, and upload a photo to be used on your student record and your ID card.
We recommend that all new students get a meningitis vaccination when they start University. You can talk to your GP at home to get this done before you arrive or you can arrange to be vaccinated at our on campus pharmacy once you’re here.
Whether you are moving yourself and your belongings into accommodation (on campus or in the local area) or you are going to commute to the University on a daily basis, make sure you plan your journey on your first day.

There are certain important documents you will need to have with you for your face-to-face registration once you arrive at University so make sure you don’t leave them at home. Details are given in your joining instructions or can be found online, but as a quick guide you should bring:

The University has created a short online induction course to welcome new students and familiarise them with the University. The course is fun (and really useful too) and will give you your first taste of StudyNet. You can access it here.

Hertfordshire Students' Union run lots of fantastic Freshers events in the first week of term. To make the most of Freshers you can buy a wristband which will give you entry to all events without having to buy individual tickets. Wristbands will be available close to the start of term, but keep checking the Students' Union website for updates and to see what last year’s Fresher’s Week was like.
