Project outline

The Mathematical Physics group of the University of Hertfordshire invites applications for a funded PhD position.

One fully funded position is available for three years to start in September 2021. The successful candidate will work with Charles Young on the Leverhulme Trust Research Project Grant "Affine Gaudin Models and Integrable Quantum Field Theory" and will join the Mathematical Physics group consisting of permanent staff members:

  • Livia Ferro
  • Tomasz Lukowski
  • Vidas Regelskis
  • Ole Steuernagel
  • Charles Strickland-Constable
  • Charles Young.

Subject areas covered by our group, include:

  • supergravity and generalised geometry
  • quantum groups and representation theory
  • classical and quantum integrable models
  • scattering amplitudes in gauge theories, and related topics.
