HENRY are passionate about babies and young children getting the best possible start in life. Over the last 10 years HENRY has developed, delivered and tested a highly effective behaviour change approach to supporting parents in providing a healthy start in life for babies and young children. The Charity also developed a programme for parents of primary school children which is being piloted and tested in 3 local authorities. HENRY is seeking to extend its behaviour change approach to supporting teenagers to adopt healthier lifestyles and improve their long-term physical and emotional well-being, through changes in physical activity and nutritional education. Find out more information.
The associate will develop an understanding of the HENRY approach and become a trained deliverer by working with HENRY training and development team to develop the programme and co-deliver it during feasibility study. The PhD will focus on reviewing evidence and consulting with teenagers about how we can best help them improve their well-being. The project will progress to testing the feasibility of a new teenage programme, that will be refined and rolled out on a wider scale.
