Research costs are not covered and this must be discussed with potential supervisors in advance of submitting your application. EU students must register for their PhD before July 2021.

Project outline

The PhD studentship is available at the Centre for Food, Agriculture and Environmental Management (CAFEM), with a research project within any of our three research areas. These are, crop protection and climate change, agriculture and environmental management, and food policy, nutrition and diet.

Essential criteria:

  • good BSc/BA/MSc/MA degrees in relevant disciplines
  • experience of doing a research project (e.g. undergraduate dissertation)
  • certification of English language competence (minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent) for candidates for whom English is not their first language.
