Load reconstruction is a vital aspect of structural health monitoring in the aerospace industry. By identifying the real-time flight loads, the fatigue assessment of the missile launch structure can be improved since the stress at some critical inaccessible sites can be determined.

The aim of this project is to explore the validity of the inverse method for use on aerospace structures during air carriage by high speed aircrafts. The objectives are to develop load reconstruction techniques and assess their reliabilities for structures representative of aerospace and defence application.
