COVID-19 safety measures

The University’s priority is to provide a ‘COVID secure’ working and learning environment for staff and students.

You can find out more about all of our measures to keep students and staff safe on our dedicated Coronavirus advice pages at www.herts.ac.uk/coronavirus.

The University is continually monitoring and responding to the latest COVID-19 government advice and national guidelines. The latest UK government advice is available here.

Welwyn Hatfield Community Safety Partnerships COVID-19 enforcement

Welwyn Hatfield Community Safety Partnership has been meeting on a weekly basis since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and are working collectively to protect the community.

The partnership is working hard to review and interpret any national, regional and local guidance or legislation that is published in order to ensure that all residents, businesses and organisations understand what responsibilities they have.

The University is working closely with both the Constabulary and the Borough Council on matters relating to allegations of their students breaking COVID-19 laws. If incidents do occur the University will follow their independent disciplinary process to deal with such incidents (this could be in addition to or instead of any enforcement taken by the Constabulary).
