Recent University of Hertfordshire graduates now have access to LinkedIn Learning. The University of Hertfordshire has paid for all recent graduates (within two years) to have free, exclusive access to LinkedIn Learning, an on demand learning tool designed to help graduates gain new skills and advance their career. Gain unlimited access to more than 5,000 video tutorials that cover a vast range of topics.
If you are eligible to access LinkedIn Learning, you will have received an activation email from LinkedIn. If haven't received your activation email then please submit a LinkedIn Learning Request Form to request a new email.
Start exploring LinkedIn Learning now. Students can also book an appointment with a Careers Adviser to identify areas to upskill and suitable courses on LinkedIn Learning. It doesn’t matter if you are in work or still looking, LinkedIn Learning can support you no matter where you are in your career journey.

Can I access LinkedIn Learning as a student or staff member?
LinkedIn Learning is an e-learning tool available to all University of Hertfordshire staff and students.
Login to LinkedIn Learning with your University username@herts.ac.uk and password and follow the instructions to activate your LinkedIn Learning account. You can also access content on your mobile device via the LinkedIn Learning mobile app - go to your app store and search for LinkedIn Learning.

What to do if I have not received an activation email?
All recent graduates are automatically sent an activation email to their email address registered with the University. Firstly, ensure that you meet the criteria for having access to LinkedIn Learning through the University. Secondly, please ensure you check all folders within your emails including any spam or junk folders.

How can I access LinkedIn Learning?
If you are eligible to access LinkedIn Learning, you will have received an activation email from them.
Visit the LinkedIn Learning site
To access Learning, open the email and click the Activate LinkedIn Learning now button. You’ll be taken to LinkedIn Learning, where you can view thousands of courses on business, tech, and creative topics. To manage your account settings, click Me in the top right corner.

Do I need to pay for access to LinkedIn Learning?
No - access to LinkedIn Learning is free for all graduates for two years after your course ends.

What are the minimum machine requirements for using LinkedIn Learning?
You can access your LinkedIn Learning account whenever, wherever on desktop, mobile or tablet.
For the optimal LinkedIn Learning experience on desktop, LinkedIn Learning supports the current and previous two releases of the following browsers:
Each time a new browser version is released, they begin supporting that version along with the last two supported versions.
Important: Using older browser versions can prevent you from accessing Learning, and some site features won't function as expected. Using the latest browsers also provide better encryption and privacy support.

How can I link to my LinkedIn profile?
You can link your LinkedIn Learning account provided by the University of Hertfordshire to your personal LinkedIn profile; you will then be able to access LinkedIn Learning directly from your personal LinkedIn account. In this case, your Learning password will be the same as your LinkedIn password.

How can I save LinkedIn Learning courses and access saved courses?
You can save courses or videos you're interested in by clicking the
Save icon. The
Save icon can be found below any course recommended on your LinkedIn Learning homepage, to the right of a course title in your LinkedIn Learning search results list, or above the video on any course page.
You can access your saved courses from the Saved page. To access the Saved page:
- Click your photo in the upper right corner of your LinkedIn Learning homepage.
- Click Saved.
From this page, you can also access your In Progress courses, Collections, Learning History, and Skills as well as recommendations From Your Organization. Learn more about navigating through your courses.
There's no limit to the number of courses you can save or complete.

What if I already have a Lynda.com account?
If you already have a Lynda.com account, you can transfer your personal course history to your University of Hertfordshire account after signing in for the first time.
Once you’ve migrated to LinkedIn Learning, your Lynda.com subscription will be cancelled. To access Lynda.com content, simply login to your LinkedIn Learning account which has all of the Lynda.com courses and videos.
