Meet prospective employers
The Careers and Employment Service has a dedicated employer team that works endlessly to connect you with employers for insights into their business and networking opportunities.
The Careers and Employment team run weekly events and host large employment fairs each semester. Here are some of the different events where you can meet and network with employers looking to hire students and graduates just like you. Some employers will be delivering just to University of Hertfordshire students and graduates, whilst others will be looking to connect with students across the UK. The team will curate all of these events onto the events page on Handshake.
See Handshake for our full listings of events. Some events have limited availability, book early to secure your place.
The Go Herts Award
The Go Herts Award is an exciting initiative which recognises your engagement in a range of extra-curricular activities outside of the assessed part of your degree. The Go Herts Award is open to all students but will only be awarded to you when you graduate, at the end of your Programme of Study.
Employers tell us that they seek enterprising, well-rounded employees who share the organisation’s underpinning values and are able to work collaboratively and independently. Students who achieve a Go Herts Award will stand out from the crowd as educated, well-rounded, enterprising global citizens who are well prepared for life after university.
The Go Herts Award provides you with the opportunity to:
- Build on your strengths through the enhanced opportunities open to you
- Embrace new experiences which will help you to grow in confidence
- Build transferable skills and develop personal qualities that enhance your future career
The Go Herts Award will enable you to create your own Herts story giving you the edge in the job market. For more information, visit The Go Herts Award page.
