Therapy accelerator

The Therapy Accelerator is a competition with a total grant value of £700,000 for academic research centres or new start-ups wishing to undertake collaborative research for new therapeutic developments in the life science areas.

The first three grants were awarded for:

  • A new treatment for pancreatic cancer partnered with the University of Cambridge
  • Preventing damage in Multiple Sclerosis partnered with University College London
  • Safer therapies for asthma and lung disease partnered Kings College London
