Helping your business bounce back
- Is your business keeping you awake at night?
- Has demand disappeared?
- Are you having to face up to the prospect of downsizing your workforce?
- Have your growth plans been knocked off course?
What is the Volunteer Business Support Scheme?
The pandemic has created significant economic downturn and uncertainty for businesses across the UK and Hertfordshire is particularly vulnerable to these threats due to a high proportion of micro, small and medium sized enterprises. The central point of access for business support in the county, Hertfordshire Growth Hub, has seen a huge increase in demand from businesses that are seeking support to help them minimise the impacts.
Due to this unprecedented situation, Hertfordshire Growth Hub, powered by the Hertfordshire LEP, in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire have devised a free business mentoring scheme. Micro, small and medium sized businesses in the county who are struggling as a result of the pandemic, can utilise the scheme and gain ongoing support. The scheme complements the peer-to-peer mentoring and coaching section of the Hertfordshire Growth Hub's COVID-19 Resource Hub and encourages businesses to work together during this uncertain time.
How will the scheme help my business?
We have created a network of mentors who will listen to the challenges your business is facing through telephone, video calls and email. All our mentors are highly experienced in managing or coaching at a strategic level and will be matched to you based on their experience within your sector or specific situation you are facing. They will provide support in the areas you are struggling with and point you in the right direction of finance and support packages available in Hertfordshire.
