Designed for people who have already completed a Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a business-related subject, the BA Business Management and Innovation top-up programme will allow you to progress to an Honours degree within a year.

What's the course about?

Across your year of study on this BA Business Management and Innovation top-up programme, you will continuously develop your understanding of the innovation processes within a complex and changing business environments. Your main campus is de Havilland  

You’ll share this campus with students from business, law, sport, education, and humanities subjects. The student housing is close to our Sports Village which includes a gym, swimming pool and climbing wall. You can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner in our on-campus restaurant or bar (in the newly built Enterprise Hub) on days you don’t feel like cooking. You can also use the common room to play pool, video games or just to hang out with friends.  Our Learning Resources Centres are open 24/7, which means you can study whenever suits you best. Want to pop over to the other campus? You can take the free shuttle bus or walk there in just 15 minutes.

What will I study?

Teaching on this course will typically be delivered through a mix of regular workshops on a Saturday (six over each four-month period) and midweek evening webinars. You will be assessed via coursework, which includes assignments, reports, presentations and a project. You'll also typically be expected to carry out five to six hours per week of private study. 

During the course, you will focus on building a wide range of skills that will strengthen your expertise in business management and innovation. Analysing through the context of a global landscape, you will explore multiple approaches to effecting sustainable change. Learning from your unique experiences as well as those of your peers, you will develop your problem-solving skills as you investigate the range of issues of strategic leadership in developing and implementing progressive change. You will end the programme with a capstone project that will bring together all the learnings from your modules across the two years.
