Dealing effectively with multiple challenges at global and local level has become a critical and complex aspect of running a successful business, particularly when striving for growth, sustainability and effective leadership. Hertfordshire Business School is offering international and UK based delegates the opportunity to immerse themselves in intensive and contemporary sessions on key business topics to begin to learn how to deal with these challenges.

The course is part of the MBA Summer School, a one-week programme consisting of eight masterclasses which can be individually selected and combined for bespoke learning. Discounts are available for multiple bookings.

Masterclasses are lead by senior academics from the Hertfordshire MBA faculty who have proven expertise in their area of research and who regularly contribute to the AMBA approved MBA programme.

Course date: Tues 9 July, 13.30-1700

The course will cover:

  • Understanding of contemporary and traditional issues in entrepreneurship and enterprise development
  • Analysing theory and practice in innovation and solution-building
  • Exploring business value cycle
  • Examining decision making in the early business life cycle
  • Analysing the entrepreneurship journey and experience

Why choose this course?

Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (EED) looks at key challenges and issues facing entrepreneurs and at small enterprise creation, development and maturity. EED embraces the mainstream theory and practice of entrepreneurship and enterprise development, and introduces contemporary challenges facing the sector. Delegates will have the opportunity to understand and then challenge the current theory and practice within innovation and its analysis.

EED presents delegates with the opportunity to utilise the latest frameworks and models to understand and interpret the financial/non-financial risks of new enterprise creation. EED addresses the entrepreneur journey and its application to enterprise creation, development and maturity, through using real-life examples. Delegates will look at a selection of real-life entrepreneurs who have themselves taken this journey, and analyse and understand the importance of decision-making.
