After leaving school at 16, I always knew the apprenticeship route was right for me.
Whilst starting my apprenticeship, I knew I still wanted to complete a degree and work to gain a experience at the same time.
Luckily enough, an opportunity was offered to study as a degree apprentices at the University of Hertfordshire, allowing me to apply my learnt knowledge in a hands on environment.
There have been many challenges along the way, however, one element that has surprised me about the course is how much the lecturers support you during your module. If you ever need help they are always willing to offer a helping hand.
The best piece of advice I have received would be from my mentor. “The only time you should look back is to see how far you have come.”
It is great to see how much progress I have made over the years. My experience has a degree apprentice so far has been fun, crazy, hectic and life changing.
