The School of Education is an established, dynamic academic community, committed to developing truly exceptional teachers and leaders. With an emphasis on research, development and critical reflection, we’re proud to produce graduates with the confidence and capability to make a real difference in contemporary teaching and learning.

Our teaching programme is cutting-edge, reflecting the many social, political and technological changes taking place in education. We also work in close partnership with local schools, which in addition to teaching placements, enriches apprentices' knowledge, experience and opportunities.

Teachers make the education of their pupils their first concern and are accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.

This Level 6 teaching apprenticeship is a new route to Qualified Teacher Status. Upon completing this apprenticeship, teachers can be employed in a variety of settings (for example academy schools, maintained schools) and across England, with pupils ranging from 3 - 19 years.
