Schools and College Engagement

At Hertfordshire Law School, we build and maintain relationships with schools and colleges, with the aim of easing students' transition into their chosen LLB; Politics and International Relations; Criminology and Criminal Justice course, at a higher education level.

We provide information, advice and guidance for prospective students, as well as their parents, teachers and careers advisors. We work closely with students who are currently making their applications to university, as well as those in younger year groups, who want to make informed choices for sixth form or college.

Events on campus

Visiting our campus can be an effective way for students to gain an understanding of what university life is like.

Our law events will give students the opportunity to meet university academics, talk to current students and explore our state-of-the-art facilities, all while raising their awareness and aspirations with regards to law at a higher education level.

In school projects

Hertfordshire Law School will visit Schools to offer a taste of university life and an idea of the co-curricular activities students could expect to be involved in while studying with us. This is primarily through our War of Words provision in schools - WoW trains students to make quick, one-minute applications on controversial subjects in front of a live students. Our School will ask your students to defend positions such as 'reality TV shows are good for society' in a fun and energetic environment, with the aim of teaching students debating and presentation skills.
