Ibrahim Alhassan FaggeMy studies at the University Of Hertfordshire helped me gain the knowledge to form a pathway to creating my own destiny and for that I'm eternally grateful.

We asked Ibrahim...

What is your current role and how did you get to this point in your career?

Initially started out as a University project to create either a fictional business or non fictional business for a sports management module. After research I noticed there was an opportunity for a new brand to market themselves in a way that could lead to them being a major player due to a lack of competition in the marketplace.

How did your studies at the University of Hertfordshire help shape your career?

My studies at the University Of Hertfordshire helped me gain the knowledge to form a pathway to creating my own destiny and for that I'm eternally grateful.

What made you decide to study at this University?

The opportunity to be able to study a joint honours which many universities did not offer at the time. I was very indecisive and wanted to continue my studies in sport, however, I also wanted to cover a totally new subject area and expand my knowledge and pick up new skills

What was the best or most useful thing about your course?

I would personally have to say reading Globalization journal articles. This created a positive reading habit which has helped me in the long run to continue to self educate.

What is your stand-out memory from your time at the University?

It would have to be my first experience in group work in my first year. Group work historically has a bad reputation, however, we performed so well our slides were even used for future lectures within the Global perspectives in business module. It was great leading my team to victory!

Are you still in contact with friends you met at the University of Hertfordshire?

Yes indeed I am. I met wonderful individuals not only on my course but also on campus.

What advice would you give your younger self if you were starting at the University tomorrow?

Lighten up and have more fun ;)

Do you have any advice for University of Hertfordshire graduates who are considering a career in your industry?

Be innovative! Make sure you have an excellent lawyer when getting into business. It is true what they say "business is war and if you are ill equipped you will fall". This is certainly true from my experience!

What are your future career plans/ ambitions?

Future plans are to gain traction in the sportswear market and make FITTFIND a globally recognizable brand.
