Professor David Docherty OBE

Professor David Docherty OBE received an honorary degree of Doctor of Arts in recognition of his contribution to university business collaboration across the UK. David has held Chair or Chief Executive roles in TV and digital media companies, as well as key positions in educational bodies, for 18 years. He was Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Universities and Business for nine years, and initiated a number of projects to build bridges between businesses and universities. David was recognised for his contribution to higher education and business with an OBE in 2018.
