Dr Firoz A Rasul

Firoz Rasul received an honorary degree of Doctor of Science in recognition of his contribution to education and business in the developing world and beyond.

Mr Rasul has fond memories of studying for his honours degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire. Following this, he held positions with a number of high-profile engineering companies, making a significant contribution in the field of fuel cell technology. In 2006, he was appointed as President of the Aga Khan University (AKU) in Pakistan. AKU has expanded significantly under Mr Rasul’s leadership, and now operates campuses, medical centres and teaching hospitals in more than 30 of the poorest countries of the world.
