Professor Jeffrey Idle
Professor Jeffrey Idle is an alumnus of Hatfield Polytechnic, having obtained a BSc in Applied Chemistry and a BSc in Medicinal Chemistry in 1972 and 1973 respectively. He holds the position of Director and Endowed Professor, Arthur G. Zupko’s Systems Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics at Long Island University, having held posts in a number of universities in the UK and Europe. His research history encompasses drug metabolism, pharmacogenetics, metabolomics, and lipidomics, and he has written or contributed to hundreds of academic studies in his field. Professor Idle received an honorary Doctor of Science for his pioneering work and contribution to global medicine.
