Dr Luther Blissett DL

Former England and Watford footballer Luther Blissett was awarded with an honorary Doctor of Science. Luther holds the record for the most appearances for the Watford team, and is the squad’s all-time top goal scorer. He was the first Watford player to be capped for England and the first black player to score for England. He works alongside Watford Council and the Mayor of Watford to raise awareness and funds for local charities, and has been recognised for his significant contribution by his recent appointments as Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire and as a Freeman of the Borough of Watford.
