Enterprise Fund - the impact
The University has been a University Enterprise Zone since 2019, and this whole-campus status as a business incubator was reinforced with the opening of the Enterprise Hub building in 2020.
Our campuses are open for early stage businesses and entrepreneurs to use as and when it suits their needs, alongside access to our academic experts, talented graduates, facilities and equipment. There is a designated modern and fully equipped co-working space for business incubator members to use flexibly, within the Enterprise Hub.
We also offer funded research and development opportunities, such as Knowledge Transfer Partnership, helping businesses solve strategic challenges and create new products.
Our highly regarded workforce development opportunities such as degree apprenticeships, graduate placements and professional development courses empower businesses to grow a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce
An entrepreneurial vision runs through everything we do at Herts. We therefore offer advice sessions, events, entrepreneurial societies, enterprise competitions and funding opportunities to our students and graduates who are interested in starting their own business.
