Make the most of your university experience and become a Student Ambassador!
If you love studying at Herts and want to share your experiences with others, you’ll want to get involved with the Student Ambassador Programme.
A Student Ambassador is a current Herts student employed by the University, who part takes in a range of responsibilities that aim to prompt and grow the University of Hertfordshire brand.
The programme is run by the UK Recruitment team: we recruit undergraduate and postgraduate students to work as Student Ambassadors on internal and external events. This includes:
Becoming a Student Ambassador offers a fantastic hourly wage. It is flexible and fits around your studies working no more than 15 hours per week, in term time.
The ambassador programme is a great way to make new friends, develop your skills and earn some money!
The activities of a student ambassador can be varied, one day you could be delivering a talk on student life at a local school, the next you might be running campus and accommodation tours at our open and applicant days. There will also be opportunities to develop your skills through organised training and development workshops to make your experience as a student ambassador even more valuable.
When you go out into the workplace, recruiters not only want to look at your degree but they also want to see the extracurricular activities that you have participated in. The student ambassador programme also counts and will be something to add to your CV.
The student ambassador programme is a fantastic way to make new friends and form relationships with other students outside of your course. This not only enhances your confidence and people skills, but allows you to get out of your comfort zone and meet new people.
