Penny Carey, Dean of Hertfordshire Law School at the University of Hertfordshire and International Officer Jumana Al Jayoosi have been presented with Certificates of Appreciation by the Qatar Cultural Office.
The certificates recognise the outstanding efforts that the University has made, and continues to make, to support students from Qatar and is the first time that any UK university has been so honoured.
Qatar’s Assistant Cultural Ambassador, Fahad Al Kuwari, said: “we wanted to recognise the great work the Law School and International Office do to support our students. Jumana, and the whole team behind her, work to understand our culture and she is a fantastic link between the University and the Qatar Cultural Office.”
Julie Newlan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Business and International Development said: “The University of Hertfordshire is a truly global campus with more than 80 nationalities represented. We work hard to ensure our students have a really global experience with the opportunity to so we particularly appreciate this recognition.”
