“Without Fear or Favour, Affection or Ill Will”: the life and trials of being a leading criminal barrister and Old Bailey judge.

Murder, manslaughter, terrorism- prosecuting and defending serious crime is not for everyone. Yet, the evidence in every alleged crime must be examined, dissected and tested in court by eminent criminal lawyers and before experienced judges such as our guests - Her Honour Judge Sarah Munro KC and her Honour Judge Judy Khan KC. They’ve dedicated their careers to the rule of law as leading criminal barristers and now Old Bailey judges. Presiding over some of the country’s most notorious criminal cases, they are recognised as two of its leading criminal legal experts in the process, as well as embedding themselves as exceptional role models for successful women in law.

During this exclusive event, Her Honour Judge Sarah Munro KC and Her Honour Judge Judy Khan KC will take you on a fascinating journey through the profession – from how it’s changed over the decades since they first started, to the remarkable cases they’ve worked on, life at the most famous court in the world and their thoughts on what the future holds for the world of criminal law.
