Our Health and Social Work Taster Day for year 12 and 13 college students is the perfect way to explore the wide range of subjects available at university level.

Considering a career within Health and Social Work? Wondering what you would experience as a Paramedic, Radiographer, Physiotherapist, Midwife, Nurse or Social Worker? We are offering a taster day for students who are preparing for university and would like to explore the different health and social care courses available at the University of Hertfordshire. Come along to learn more about following a career in the healthcare and social work sector.
Exclusively for year 12/13/Access Level 3 students (whether coming as part of a school group or individually), this Taster Day will allow you to dive in and be inspired to follow your dream path within Health and Social Work.
You will see our incredible facilities, get some hand-on experience in our practical labs and find out more about the application process, what to include in your personal statement and tips about the interview days. You'll also have the chance to meet with staff and students on campus.
The day will run from 09:30-15:00, with the option to sign up for a campus tour
Light refreshments will be provided as well as a lunch voucher that you can spend in any of the Food Hertfordshire outlets on campus.
Please come to Main Reception on our College Lane campus to register. Aim to arrive for 09:15 for registration. The day is expected to finish at 14:15 with the optional extra of a campus tour, expected to finish at 15:00.
