Sir David Bodey, recently retired Judge of the High Court, Family Division speaks about his two decades in the Family Division.
Possibly the funniest and most interesting look at the life of a High Court Judge you will ever hear, Sir David hopes to provide an insight into the challenging and difficult decisions Family Judges have to take, whilst also taking a light hearted look at the role of the emergency High Court Judge.
Anyone involved in family justice will be fascinated by the insights into the workings of (and the mind of) a High Court Judge.
Sir David Bodey (70) was a barrister for 29 years and full time High Court Judge for 19 years until 2018, and whilst on the bench was a Member of the Family Justice Council and Director of Family Training for Judges for a decade.
About the lecture
The presentation is aimed at increasing the knowledge of those involved in the family justice system and is open to all with a professional or academic interest in the subject.
This Forum is being organised with the assistance of the Hertfordshire Law School which is accredited as a CPD provider by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (CPD Ref: LT.UHER) and 1.5 CPD hours will be available to solicitors who attend.
£10 per person which includes refreshments on arrival and a light buffet supper after the lecture.
