Support and Resources
Support at Herts
The University of Hertfordshire is an active member of the Hertfordshire Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans Partnership of public authorities, working to ensure equality of opportunities and treatment of LGBT service users.
If you need support during your time at Herts, you can contact Student Wellbeing, visit the Student Union's Advice and Support Centre or contact the equality office.
Plus, the University's Students' Union has an active LGBT+ Society for students. They run weekly events for members, in addition to confidential support events throughout the year. Find out more about the LGBT+ Society on their website. Plus, read Chloe McKendrick's article about the LGBT+ society and her own experience of joining (and becoming President).
Staff at the University can also find support, guidance and information about our staff LGBT+ network and Employee Assistance Programme on our staff intranet, by visiting HertsHub.
A message from our Chaplain
Our University Chaplain, Reverend Fiona Souter, shares her thoughts on the inclusive teachings of Christianity. She reminds us that no one is outside of God’s love and reflects on the power of being who God meant us to be.
