Our climate change vision

The University of Hertfordshire Climate Vision sets out our commitment to becoming a net zero institution by 2050.

The vision is aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and measure our success using ambitious Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) along four set pathways:

1. Build a sustainable community
2. Deliver education, student and people experience
3. Reduce operational emissions
4. Showcase our research, enterprise, and global engagement

By adopting an integrated approach and setting ambitious targets, the University aims to reduce its overall carbon impact while empowering positive action within our student and staff community.
