Spiritual facilities
At the University we believe everyone should have the time, space, and opportunity to relax, reflect and get in touch with their spriritual side, whatever their beliefs. With this in mind, we established the Key Centre - a space for everyone.

The Key Centre
'The Key Centre' is a multi-faith and multi-cultural centre, on the College Lane Campus. You will find it on the hill just above the Elehouse, near the UH Student's Union, and on the path up towards the Halls of Residence. The Key Centre is a focus for the spiritual life of the University, offering a place for prayer and reflection and for exploration of spiritual journeys. It also houses the office of the University Chaplain.
Space to think

The Key Centre offers a quiet space within the University, as well as being a place for more formal acts of worship. It has a large, circular, room ('The Robert Runcie Rotunda') where there is space for reflection, prayer and worship. In 'The Meeting Room' a range of study or discussion groups meet and there is a small selection of spiritual books, videos and newspapers to browse, or you can just sit and chat or just relax.
Students and groups can book rooms at the Key Centre for events and meetings that are in keeping with the aims and purpose of the centre - to promote the understanding of spirituality, morality and ethics within and through the University and its local community.
