We can support recent graduates and alumni
The Careers, Employment and Enterprise Service is happy to help University of Hertfordshire graduates in their job search for up to 2 years after the course ends.
We offer one to one support to assist you with a job search strategy, develop an effective CV and covering letter, get help with application forms or practice interview skills – we can work with you to help you achieve your goal whatever you choose to do.
One to one support
There are a range of options available to you. Contact Careers, Employment and Enterprise to book yourself in:
- Quick query - book a one to one appointment with a Careers Adviser either in person, by Skype or by phone.
- CV/application review – you can book a one to one appointment to get your CV checked: visit CareerHub to book your place.
- Practice interviews – book a 30 minute one to one appointment with a Careers Adviser for a practice interview either in person, by Skype or by phone.
Careers events and workshops
We provide continuing support for graduates helping them find jobs, creating winning applications and prepare for interviews. You are welcome to attend our Careers Fairs, employer presentations and workshops covering a variety of topics for up to two years after your graduation ceremony. All of our workshops are also available as a webinar for those who can't make it onto campus.

If you no longer have access to these, please ring us and we can speak to you about which resources we have that would match your needs and email them to you.
After 2 years
We are unable to arrange careers advice appointments for UH alumni who have graduated over two years ago. If you want to speak to a careers adviser, we recommend the following service:
- 'National Careers Service' - The National Careers Service provides information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities. The service offers confidential and impartial advice. This is supported by qualified careers advisers.
