UH support for recent graduates and alumni
The Careers and Placements Service is happy to help University of Hertfordshire graduates in their job search for up to 2 years after the course ends.
We offer one to one support to assist you with a job search strategy, develop an effective CV and covering letter, get help with application forms or practice interview skills – we can work with you to help you achieve your goal whatever you choose to do.
One to one support
There are a range of options available to you; contact Careers and Placements to book yourself in:
- Quick query - book a one to one appointment with a Careers Adviser either in person, by Skype or by phone.
- CV/application review – you can book a one to one appointment to get your CV checked or you can send in your CV or application form to us: visit CareerHub for details. Please allow up to 3 working days for a response for the latter.
- Practice interviews – book a 30 minute one to one appointment with a Careers Adviser for a practice interview either in person, by Skype or by phone.
Careers events and workshops
Our popular JobHub - weekly sessions throughout the summer - provides continuing support for graduates helping them find jobs, creating winning applications and prepare for interviews. Your are welcome to attend our Careers Fairs, employer presentations and seminars and workshops.

'Hire Me' scheme
In partnership with the Department for Work & Pensions and Job Centre Plus, the University of Bedfordshire is running the 'Hire Me' scheme. This scheme, open to graduates of any university living in Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire, aims to help unemployed graduates find paid work. Certain conditions apply. After 2 years
We are unable to arrange careers advice appointments for UH alumni who have graduated over two years ago. If you want to speak to a careers adviser, we recommend the following services:
