MPH Master of Public Health (online)

About the course
This MPH Public Health course combines the work of public health theory, practice and research, with expertise from: Life and Medical Science, Nursing and Social Work and The Business School at the University of Hertfordshire.
The range of optional modules offered and the breadth of cases used across the programme will provide opportunities for specialism in the global and local context in areas including:
- Commissioning and leadership
- Management of the double burden of communicable and non-communicable conditions
- Primary care
- Child health
- Health system approaches to improving public health outcomes and addressing health inequalities.

Entry requirements
- A recent 2.2 honours degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent (e.g. honours degree from the UK) or equivalent. Or relevant experience in the area public health may be considered in place of a degree.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics with minimum grade C.
Applicants who do not wholly meet these requirements, but who are considered to have the professional experience, motivation or potential to succeed at the programme, may also be accepted.
English language requirements
All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language grade A-C.
- IELTS 7.0 (with no less than 6.5 in any band)

Assessment
Coursework - there will be a fixed date for assignment submission.
Online tests - a fixed a 24-hour time slot is normally assigned for each online test to be taken.

This programme is designed for students who wish to develop their careers in the field of public health practice, management or research, as well as practitioners and managers already in the field, who wish to enhance their career development.
