Information Technology Online Degree Bsc Hons

The University of Hertfordshire has been successfully running online top-up degrees (level 6 or final year) since 2004.

We are now extending the programme to include levels 4 and 5, i.e. what would be the first two years of a full-time course.

Entry requirements

  • UK: 260 UCAS points with A-levels or equivalent in any subject, plus GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in maths and English;
  • EU/International: equivalent to above

Assessment

Coursework - there will be a fixed date for assignment submission.

Online tests - a fixed a 24-hour time slot is normally assigned for each online test to be taken.

Award title

Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science

Study rate

A typical rate is 60 credits per year, (30 credits per semester). However study rates are flexible and you can reduce the rate, take a break, or study level 6 at a faster rate and so complete sooner. Lower level awards are also possible.

Commitment

10-15 hours per week for each 30 credit module

Semester time

14 weeks including 2 weeks vacation
+ 1 week induction for new students

5-6 years for full degree
