Heritage Hub
The University of Hertfordshire Heritage Hub links public history initiatives across the University and aims to foster discussion and collaboration in the county, region and beyond.
Sharing knowledge

The University of Hertfordshire already benefits enormously from relationships with community organisations.
These have led to collaborative historical research, such as the de Havilland Airfield Reminiscence Project, and opportunities for students to:
- learn about Hertfordshire’s history.
- volunteer with local history groups.
- gain an insight from heritage case studies across the region.
Partners in history

An important part of the History Group and Heritage Hub's current outreach strategy is the 'Partners in History: Collaborations in Regional Heritage' project, funded by the AHRC and Heritage Lottery Fund under the 'Connected Communities' programme.
The project has four distinct strands:
- Luton Hats - a creative writing project in association with Luton Museum.
- Commemorating the First World War - focusing on a local history conference involving local groups.
- Low Carbon Pasts - a local history and heritage project with an environmental themed Vintage Day community history event in association with Stevenage Museum.
The Heritage Hub website is a gateway to these activities, relevant courses and events.
