Academic research in areas of design practice (AR-DP)
The AR-DP project is a networking initiative, which creates and facilitates academic collaboration across disciplines, institutions and countries in areas of design practice such as architecture, design and the arts in general.
Sharing knowledge
AR-DP is part of the Research into Practice cluster.
It is a collaborative network involving:
- University of Hertfordshire
- Lund University, Sweden
- Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Brazil
- Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil
The network is led by Dr Daniela Büchler and co-ordinated by Prof Michael Biggs.
It has benefitted from additional contributions from Prof Lars-Henrik Ståhl (Lunds University), Dr Rafael Perrone (Universidade de São Paulo) and Dr Ana Gabriela Lima (Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie).
The network hosts collaborative activities between the UK, Sweden and Brazil in the form of:
- postdoctoral research projects
- joint bilingual publication projects
- international exchange workshops
- collaborative bid development
Our themes consider:

The AR-DP project hosts a number of smaller projects.
