RAE 2008 results
World-leading research
A substantial amount of SSAHRI's research was judged to be 'world-leading' or 'internationally excellent' in terms of originality, significance and rigour in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).
For instance, in our History unit, 25 per cent of the research was judged to be world-leading (4*) and 45 per cent internationally excellent (3*). History at Hertfordshire was thus ranked 7th equal out of 83 submissions, alongside the likes of Cambridge and University College, London.
It is one of only two History units in the UK in which 100 per cent of research activity was rated as being world-leading, internationally excellent or internationally recognised.
