  • 50 per cent – Internationally excellent (3*)
  • 25 per cent – Internationally recognised (2*)
  • 15 per cent – Nationally recognised (1*)

An outstanding outcome

The Art and Design research submitted by the University of Hertfordshire was judged to be:

  • 85 per cent – of international quality
  • 60 per cent – world –leading or internationally excellent quality
  • 25 per cent – internationally recognised

This places Art and Design at the University on a par with institutions that have longstanding reputations within the sector for international excellence in research at the highest level. The submission included a range of disciplines across art and design and provides an excellent basis for further research.
