UHArts launched its new vision in 2015 to produce contemporary touring theatre for young audiences inspired by the work of our world class academic researchers.

The first research and development grant offered by UHArts in partnership with the School of Humanities Heritage Hub was offered to Cap-A-Pie, a professional touring theatre company. The company produced a short piece in partnership with Professor Owen Davies and his work as part of the Everyday Lives in War initiative launched by the Heritage Hub.

Professor Davies' research into supernatural beliefs inspired the company to explore the role of fortune tellers during the first world war.
