University of Hertfordshire professor appointed as Chairman of expert group
Professor Luciano Floridi, from the School of Humanities, has been appointed Chairman of an expert group connected with the European Commission.
Organised by the EU Directorate General Information Society and Media (DG INFSO) of the European Commission, the expert group will look at the impact of information and communication technologies on the digital transformations occurring in the European society.
The project is part of ‘Digital Futures', an EU visioning initiative that seeks to anticipate possible issues and generate inspiring ideas for the future of policy-making in the digital realm.
It will deliver its report by the end of 2012.
