Background

Quality of life (QoL) is a critical outcome measure in all chronic illnesses. We have expertise in advising on appropriate methods of measuring QoL.

  • End of Life Care in ESRD [NIHR RfPB funded - £247,000]
  • Identifying and measuring depression amongst South Asian people with a Chronic Illness; a systematic review [Submitted NIHR RfPB- £250,000]
  • Studies of depression and Illness Representations in End Stage Renal Disease [KRUK/BRS joint studentship £74,000 – completed]
  • Comparison of Quality of Life in Patients with End-Stage Renal Failure [Funded British Renal Society, £44,812 – now completed]
  • Early Intervention services in Psychosis [submitted to NETSCC Health Service Research - research-led call]
