How the Clinical Trials Support Network will operate

The CTSN is a new concept and will work closely with the East of England Research Design Service-Hertfordshire (RDS) and Applied Statistics Group.

The CTSN is a new concept and will start with two part time posts.

Both staff have experience of clinical trials and will work in close association with the East of England Research Design Service-Hertfordshire (RDS) and Applied Statistics Group.

The modus operandi of the CTSN is as a ‘front end’ to a Clinical Trials Unit(CTU). In other words, we conduct much of what is required for clinical trials support but collaborate with a CTU(predominately the University of East Anglia(UEA) CTU) to provide a complete clinical trials support service.

The plan is for a phased expansion reaching full capacity in six to ten years.
