About the Health and Human Sciences Research Institute (HHSRI)
Health and Human Sciences Research Institute (HHSRI) seeks to enhance the reputation of health and human sciences research at the University of Hertfordshire

- Establishing various forums or groups who can collectively develop research strategy within the Institute, and discuss ways of enhancing excellence and productivity in R&D.
- Exploring and enabling meaningful interdisciplinary research collaborations within HHSRI as well as other areas of research excellence within the university.
- Promoting areas of research excellence to external organisations e.g. funding bodies/overseas universities.
- Providing strategic input to research assessment exercises (e.g. 2008 RAE and 2013 REF). See our recent RAE 2008 results.
- Providing infrastructure to support research activity across the Institute.
- Ensuring our research has impact through the links we have, as a university, with public, private and voluntary sector organisations.
