SSAHRI Showcase

The SSAHRI Showcase was held at the University of Hertfordshire between the 23rd and the 26th of April, 2007.

Introduction

Research in SSHARI may seem disparate. People are coming at knowledge from many different perspectives but in organising this showcase what has struck me is that we all have more in common than we have differences. For me this showcase is a celebration of all that we do. It encompasses musical performances, artistic exhibition, poster presentations, professorial lectures and academic debate. It gives us a fantastic opportunity to explore and share all the different strands of our experiences and knowledge and to find the links and crossovers not only for ourselves as members of this research institute but for other members of our University community and the wider public. It is research brought to life. And in doing this showing that it is pragmatic, applicable and relevant.
